Terms of Service

If you appoint Right Meow to provide a service for you on a project or ongoing basis, you are bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

Service Acceptance

  1. Each estimate or quote is valid for 60 calendar days.

  2. Should the Client accept an estimate or quote for services provided by Right Meow, then the Client will be deemed to have agreed to these Terms of Service in full.  It is not necessary for any Client to have signed an acceptance of these Terms of Service for them to apply.

  3. Acceptance of any given quote or estimate can be made via any form of written communication, including electronic, such as email, social media messaging or document signing.

  4. No services will be commenced by Right Meow until written acceptance has been received.

Deposit & Payments

  1. A 50% deposit for the total estimate or quote is required before work will commence, unless otherwise stated by Right Meow.

  2. The remaining 50%, plus fees for any additional services requested, including time for additional consultations or meetings requested, is due on completion of the project.  Right Meow reserves the right to hand over design files, and website access if required, after final payment has been made.

  3. Any work that Right Meow deems to be outside the scope of the initial project will be billed at an hourly rate.

  4. Any additional services requested related to a completed project, will be billed at an hourly rate.

  5. Should the Client cancel a project after work has commenced, fees will be billed at an hourly rate for time already completed.  Any external fees already paid, such as website hosting and domain registration fees will also be billed to the Client in full.

  6. Should the Client cause delays to a project, interim invoices may be issued for work already completed.

  7. Where Right Meow handles website hosting and domain registration renewal fees for the Client, should the Client fail to pay these fees to Right Meow by the due date, Right Meow reserves the right to cancel the website hosting and domain registration and will not be held responsible for any losses incurred.

  8. Right Meow accepts payment via bank deposit only, details of which are included on all invoices and statements.

Client Obligations

  1. The Client is to provide all materials and account access required by Right Meow to complete the agreed project.  These materials might include, but are not limited to, images, texts, logos, fonts, audio-visual material.

  2. Right Meow reserves the right to extend the project deadline or estimated due date, in the event the Client fails to provide the necessary materials or account access in a timely manner, thus causing a delay in the project.

Right of Refusal

  1. Right Meow reserves the right not to undertake any work which it deems to be unlawful, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate.

Ownership of Work

  1. Before completion of a project, copyright ownership is retained by Right Meow for all work undertaken, including words, images, designs and ideas.  Ownership of finalised work only will transfer to the Client once full payment for the project is received.

  2. It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure that material provided to Right Meow, including any text, logos, images and audio-visual content are not subject to copyright to a third party.  The ownership of such materials will remain with the Client, or rightful copyright or trademark owner.

  3. Right Meow takes no responsibility for issues arising due to using supplied material if it is found to be copyright to a third person or party.

  4. For websites designed by Right Meow, but where Right Meow is not employed to maintain the website, the Client is responsible for the content, styling and formatting of the website after the assignment is finished.

  5. The Client must indemnify Right Meow from any claims or legal actions related to content supplied or designed by Right Meow.

Portfolio Use

  1. Right Meow reserves the right to display any work completed for a Client in their portfolio, unless specifically requested otherwise before completion of a project.

  2. For websites designed by Right Meow, text will be added at the bottom of the Client’s website, linking to Right Meow’s website.

  3. For websites not maintained by Right Meow, where significant changes are made to the website by the Client, or other party, Right Meow reserves the right to remove any association with the website.

Confidentiality

  1. Right Meow will not misuse any confidential information provided by the Client.

  2. The Client agrees not to disclose the fees charged by Right Meow, or any confidential information given to them.

  3. The Client is responsible for keeping any passwords and usernames issued by Right Meow, confidential.

Website Performance 

  1. For websites designed by Right Meow, initial search engine optimisation is completed for the Client.  However, Right Meow cannot and does not guarantee where the Client’s website will be ranked, or guarantee a specific rating given by any website rating tool.

  2. Any additional specialist search engine, or website performance work requested, will be billed to the Client.

Privacy Policy

Your Privacy

Right Meow respects your rights to privacy protection and will ensure your personal and business information remains confidential and is used only for appropriate purposes and in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act.  Any information you give to us will be held with the utmost care.  This privacy statement covers personal information held by Right Meow.

Collection of Information

Information may be collected over the phone, by email, personal contact or from our website.  Information is not collected without your prior knowledge and consent.  Visiting the Right Meow website does not require you to disclose any personal information unless you choose to send a message, or download a resource.  Website statistics are recorded anonymously and do not identify any particular site visitor.

Disclosure of Personal Information

Right Meow does not sell, lend, disclose, or transmit any information collected from any of our activities.  It may be used in relation to legal proceedings in a court or tribunal.

Cookies & Website Data

Our website uses Google Analytics, which uses http Cookies, to record visitor behaviour and help us understand website traffic and web page usage.  Google Analytics does not identify individual users or record any personal information.  We only see aggregate statistics such as pages viewed, date and time of visits, duration of visits and internet service provider used.

Links to Other Websites

This privacy statement does not extend beyond the Right Meow website to links to other sites, as we do not control, nor are we responsible for those websites.  While we take commercially reasonable measures to maintain a secure site, electronic communication and databases are subject to errors and tampering, and Right Meow will not be liable for any breach of security or any unintended loss or disclosure of information that results.

Policy Changes & Feedback
